1. Farmers Training / orientation:

For successful implementation of the programme training of farmers in all the managemental aspects of livestock is essential. It is proposed to organize farmers’ training programmes in all the villages where new Gomitra centers were established and in places where AI was introduced in non-AI centers. At least 1,000 farmers from each district are to be trained in a year. For organizing training programme and to supply material to all the farmers an amount of Rs. 60.00 lakhs is required at the rate of Rs. 200.00 per farmer to meet to and fro charges from their villages and to organize training programmes for two days.

2. Fertility Camps:

To induce confidence in farmers and popularise AI programme organising fertility camps in villages where Gomitra centers are established and AI was introduced in non-AI centers is essential. These camps also will be used as training camps for AI workers as well as to the farmers.

It is planned to conduct about 3000 fertility camps in next 5 years time to improve the reproduction rate of female animals in the field. An amount of Rs. 300.00 lakhs is proposed for conducting 3000 fertility camps.
